That's absolutely fine, but it doesn't make this option any less important. It is an accessibility option, so most players won't find any value in the Arachnophobia Safe Mode. Animations would probably have to be sped up to fit Stingers stats. The're called that, because they tend to eat the occupants of a house and take it over for themselves. For Arachnophobia Mode to be effective i imagine it has to replace Stingers models, animations and sounds with those of a different regular alien animal, so that it's not immediately obvious what you are dealing with. Real Arachnophobia Mode is the name of it.

Keep in mind that this setting isn't meant for general use. But yeah, there's a mod that removes the spiders entirely, including all the ambiance sounds placed around close to where they are from the map.
